“Stop worrying about whether you’re going to win or lose and focus your full attention on what’s happening right this                 moment.”
Phil Jackson

“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

The Three Don’ts
Don’t whine
Don’t complain
Don’t make excuses
           John Wooden

Reflection: This means that you have to suck it up and don’t whine, complain, or make excuses. For example when you want to be in a basketball team and you whine about doing to many workouts. If you complain about the workouts it’s showing that you really don’t want to be in the team. Another example is if you are late to practice or to a game and you make excuses like “oh, it’s because my mom couldn’t bring me.” It’s not your mom’s team it’s yours so you have to show you’re responsible.
